Program Description1:
The Touro University - California College of Pharmacy program is a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy program located on historic Mare Island in the Northeast corner of the San Francisco Bay.
The College of Pharmacy is unique nationwide in that it includes two years of didactic instruction together with an experiential component that is also two years in length, while the national paradigm is three years of didactic instruction with a one year clinical component.
The College of Pharmacy prepares students for a clinically-oriented, contemporary pharmacy practice. This goal is ensured by providing students with a rigorous didactic and experiential curriculum in which students receive individualized attention through small classes and sufficient numbers of highly qualified faculty who are accessible and available to meet with students who require additional personal assistance. The program emphasizes expanded clinical experiences, the extensive use of technology and teamwork with other students.
Pre-requisites:
A bachelor's degree is required prior to matriculation. In addition, these requirements are also required as of 12/2010 on the school's website.
